ORGANIZER NOTE: You don't need to use a wiki page for your Event Page, but you may find wiki pages are easier to manage than a dedicated web site. More importantly, wikis lend themselves to collaborative editing, allowing all organizers and participants to contribute to the page. This page is an example adapted from Colorado's 2010 event.

Create a new page via the 'wiki...' menu above, using the content of this page as a template.

edit Registered participants

ORGANIZER NOTE: This is where participants will sign up, most typically by editing this section of the wiki page themselves. edit What needs to be done?

Include additional graphics through the "upload files" selection in the "wiki..." menu above.

These are collaborative, community-organized events. We need many people involved to make this event happen, such as to offer talks, to help recruit good speakers, to man the registration table and especially to help promote the event.

edit Open planning meeting

ORGANIZER NOTE: Advertise your planning meetings widely. Publish a clear agenda beforehand so you can get through it quickly.

When:
Where: (include physical location or video conferencing URL)

edit How you can help

Consult the Meeting Agenda to see what needs to be done. You can volunteer for tasks and suggest ideas for speakers to recruit.

At the very least please promote your participation on your social media networks (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

edit Participate by giving a talk

As SkeptiCamp is about sharing knowledge, we strongly encourage each participant to offer a short talk on a topic related to science or skepticism (though giving a talk is not required to participate.)

edit Current Schedules

ORGANIZER NOTE: If you're establishing a schedule of the day's talks beforehand, be sure to publish schedules for all to read.
ORGANIZER NOTE: Include plans for an after-party

Afterwards (5:45) at Walnut Brewery - 1123 Walnut - ask for Skepticamp back room and be sure to bring cash for your drinks!

edit Scheduling policies and guidelines

ORGANIZER NOTE: Be clear about any policies related to scheduling. Consult Barcamps to see how many handle day-of-event scheduling. Keep in mind that scheduling can be very political and should be handled carefully and openly.

edit Room layout and A/V setup

ORGANIZER NOTE: Be clear about how the site will be setup and what speakers can expect.
Because we're running this event "lean-and-mean" with minimal sponsorship demands, there won't be any free shirts as in previous years, but those interested can order one from http://shops.cafepress.com/skepticamp

edit Instructions to sign-up to speak

ORGANIZER NOTE: Provide details on how to sign up to present. Keep in mind that barriers you add to speak will result in fewer talks offered.
