edit What needs to be done?

These are collaborative, community-organized events. We need many people involved to make this event happen, such as to offer talks, to help recruit good speakers, to man staff the registration table and especially to help promote the event.

edit How you can help

Contact John (drinkskepticallycos (at) gmail.com) if you would like to help. You can volunteer for tasks and suggest ideas for speakers to recruit.

At the very least please promote your participation on your social media networks (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

edit Participate by giving a talk

As SkeptiCamp is about sharing knowledge, we strongly encourage each participant to offer a short talk on a topic related to science or skepticism (though giving a talk is not required to participate.)

Food and Drink!

Save time after the event for dinner and drinks.

We will be meeting at Jack Quinn's after SkeptiCamp for food and drink. At 6 PM the upstairs room at Jack Quinn's opens and we have reserved space for around thirty people. You can always arrive early and have a drink downstairs.

edit Scheduling policies and guidelines

If you would like a specific time during the afternoon due to a conflict or preference let the organizers know. We cannot guarantee a time slot, but we will due our best to work with your needs.

edit Room layout and A/V setup

The meeting rooms have decent A/V equipment with standard pc audio/video connections to the projector. We will have both a MacBook Pro and a PC based laptop available for PowerPoint, Keynote, and OpenOffice presentations. You can either email your presentation to: drinkskepticallycos (at) gmail.com, email John to use DropBox, or if absolutely necessary bring an antivirus-scanned USB thumbdrive.

edit Instructions to sign-up to speak

Please sign up below if you would like to give a talk. You should also email the organizer with the name and length of your talk (25 min or 50 min time slot).
